Yoga in the Air
I have designed an Airplane Yoga Card Deck for you to have a stretch on the plane.
These can even be used in the airport while you’re waiting.
They are incredibly useful on a long flight, especially to help prevent blood clots or DVT.
I have designed 20 Tarot-sized cards for you, they all come on quality 300gsm (Smooth) cards, 2.75''×4.75'' (70mm×120mm) and packaged for protection in clear shrink wrap.
Each card has a different pose on it with easy explanations on how to do the pose and how long to hold it for.
Always work within your own comfort level without pain.
Why would you need these?
Concern about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a potentially life-threatening disorder in which blood clots form in the deep veins of the body, particularly the legs, has been growing in recent years after several cases were attributed to long flights.
DVT can lead to a pulmonary embolism (PE), when a clot breaks free and lodges in a lung. If the clot is large enough, it can cause sudden death.
In an airplane, the dehydration caused by the dry air may thicken blood. In addition, the low cabin pressure, combined with immobility in cramped seats, may cause blood to collect in the legs. As a result, DVT has been dubbed ''economy class syndrome.'' The potential for the problem is greater when in-flight airline personnel keep the seat belt sign lighted and discourage passengers from moving about the cabin due to air turbulence.
By performing just a few simple moves, you give yourself a multitude of benefits: it will stretch you out, massage your internal organs, improve circulation and relieve anxiety you may experience before and during your flight.
